Who we are

Solus (also referred to as My Solus) is a trading name of Solus Commercial Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15954287. Solus Commercial Ltd is the data controller for the information described on this page. We design and build bespoke garden rooms and home extensions. Information we collect

• Enquiry details — your name, email address, telephone number, location and the message you send through our contact form.
• Estimate details — the size, specification, intended use, optional extras and region you select in our online estimate tool, together with your contact details so we can send the figure to you.
• Project account details — if you accept a quotation and create an account, we hold your account email, project records, job sheets, documents, schedules and messages relating to your build.
• Technical data — basic information your browser provides, such as device type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working correctly.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare estimates and quotations, plan and deliver your project, manage aftercare and warranty matters, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision making.

Legal bases

We rely on your consent when you submit an enquiry or request an estimate, on the performance of a contract once you become a customer, on our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and on legal obligation where record keeping is required.

Sharing and subprocessors

We share information only where it is needed to deliver your project — for example with surveyors, installers and subcontractors working on your build, and with the service providers who host our website, database and email. Those providers process data on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Storage, security and retention

Enquiry, estimate and project data is stored in our hosted database with access restricted to authenticated My Solus staff and, for project records, to the customer that the project belongs to. Customer portal accounts are password protected. We keep enquiry data for as long as it is useful to the conversation, and project and financial records for as long as required for warranty and statutory purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in to the customer portal and to remember your progress through the estimate form, along with privacy-friendly aggregate analytics that tell us how the site is used. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though the portal will not stay signed in if you do.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email enquiries@mysolus.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The current version always appears on this page.
